XP Pro wont boot with RHL 8.0 on *other* HDD
Like I said I have XP on a 40GB Barracuda IV (Primary Master) and RHL 8.0 on a Medalist 4.3GB (Sec master).
And XP's progress bar wont stop going round and round.. As soon as I remove the data cable on Linux hdd(while its on. I *know* thats not smart), XP goes right ahead... But Linux boots fine.. This means if I have to boot into windows, i have to remove the cable.. This has not happened before.. I've had linux on another hdd Any ideas  |

Do you have the boot loader (LILO or grub? which one?) installed in the MBR of the primary master?
Have you marked the Win XP partition active?

LoL.....
And Micro$oft is wondering right about now.... Why are all our customers leaving us & running that Linux stuff?!?!?! This is the very exact reason I started running linux ONLY But if you are dead set on not letting your Windows free, Go HERE and get yourself a removable bay or two & run them on thier own so one another doesnt even know the other exists But I suggest getting rid of the monopoly/controlling/power-mongering OS Qwaz |
