I'm currently up to the Mardi Gras level and was simply blown away by the amount of characters onscreen while silky smooth framerates were mantained. I found it to be pretty amazing.

Very cool game. I hope they'll add gamepad support though...

Also... maybe a bug : when i enable softshadows the game renders hard edge shadows and when i enable hard edge shadows the game renders softshadows.

Never been a hitman fan but everyone seems to be praising it. So I will download the demo and check it out.

The demo is not very good compared to the actual game. It'll give you an idea of how your system will run the game, but give you hardly any idea as to the open-ness and general fun-ness of the game.

Ok thanks for the tip. I will just go out and buy the full game. Hope it runs on my 6200.

Agreed, the full game was sooo much better compaired to the demo, I still had fun with the demo, but it didnt let you do most of the things you wanted to do. Although hitman wouldnt really "blend" in wearing clothes from the hood...

ok, reinstalled 84.56 driver and my performance went from 10-12 fps to 30-50fps

i really hate 91.28, nvidia really dropped the ball on that driver

Some Aussies did. I got mine for teh Big W. The local EB insists the release date is the 9th, inline with online stores. No matter what I said he would not start selling or match Big W's price. I even showed him a photo I took on my phone. I thought its not worth the bother and went back to teh W and got it. I usually try to by from EB as the guys that run it are usually pretty cool.

I was having trouble finding it locally but I finally found it earlier tonight. So, I'm just getting started.

Beat the game last night... very awesome game... short but still awesome and I will still play it like crazy.

My only real complaints would have to be about the weapon upgrades... I LOVED them... but I would have preferred EVERY weapon to be upgradable... would have enhanced replayability even more if you had more to unlock... oh well... maybe in the next Hitman game...

It's in the 55-60 range (edit: average is 50) but let me check again to see what the min is. I'm using 1920x1200 HQ. In game settings are maxed (including soft-shadows) and using 4xAA/16xAF. On the training level I'm mainly in the 40+ range until going inside, then it jumps up to 70+ range. Oh, I'm still using version 1.0. I've downloaded the patch but haven't installed it yet. Also, it seems to mirror the performance I get in the demo pretty closely.

With SLI off, I was at around 30fps or so.

Edit: It seems to average around 50fps. I let it zoom out all the way before stopping the benchmark.

2006-06-02 22:41:02 - HitmanBloodMoney
Frames: 9358 - Time: 184057ms - Avg: 50.843 - Min: 46 - Max: 63

So, it was at this point when I stopped and it's showing 43fps (I basically stopped the benchmark and immediately hit the screenshot key):
