Yea texture resolutions are noticably higher, as well as more animations for Alex, I see no option for an Ultra High Graphics quality mode however.

I just got about halfway through the game and I've loved every minute of it so far. Not a whole lot of plot questions answered, but i've only completed the three chapters so we'll see. Definatly worth 20 dollars IMO.

Well that was nice.

Didn't explain much and I hate how it ends.

Took me 3.25 hours to beat though, half the 6 hours they promised

Same for me: 3:15 to beat.

I really thought the puzzles were great and the intense pacing of it all. It didn't crash once, and I had no stuttering or the like. It definitely justified the $17.95 for preordering.

Get used to 3 hour mini-games. Valve is trying everything to make everyone believe that 3 hours are great value for 20$. This will be the future of PC gaming if you continue to buy episodes.

You guys must of blazed through it. Reviews are showing 5 hours.

Either way, its not too bad, considering most games are under 10 hours and cost $50, if you guys want shorter development times, and no delays, get used to shorter games. Game development costs alot of money these days.

More like Microsoft and downloadable content (i.e.: GTA4) and them nickel-and-diming small updates (i.e.: Oblivion/Bethesda). Though, maybe you're preaching to the choir since some of us are the ones who could find value in a $100 HL2 Gold purchase.

I much prefer to play through slowly as if I'm the character, immersing my self in the experience, rather than blazing through competition deathmatch style.

The problem is sure some animations are better, and some textures are more high-res but every single art asset has been seen in Half-life 2. There is nothing to immersive yourself here.
