Seems to remind of bits of Oblivion and Far Cry with the outdoor scenes.
Though I was a little disappointed in the tree detail when up close. It looked like the closer trees have very little textures and were more or less a three diminsional figure of a tree that was just colored forest green. But, it was a sort of low resolution clip. So maybe when seeing it at a beautiful 1280x1024 plus I will think otherwise- and also it isn't done yet, so I'm sure there are things that they still need to clean up graphics wise. Sure will be a good game though, again.

In England Episode 1 is priced at $37.5 but I still think it's excellent value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and I'm about half way though the commentry track.

It's just too long to wait for episode 2 now...

I was a bit hesitent in forking over 20 bucks for something that was going to take only 6 hours to play, but frankly there isnt much else interesting out or coming out soon, and I figure valve is worth the money..for now. However future eps at 20 bucks at the same pace wont cut it, id like to see some discounts for those of us loyal who own the original HL2 too.

It rocks with the commentary track.

I wish more games would do this. HL2:EP 1's whole experience is doubled with the commentary IMO.

It is definitely short, but enjoyable

Lol yea I couldn't get the steam thing to recognise my card either, I think they only accept credit cards? They don't seem to be bothered about people outside of the US buying their products

This game beats the h3ll out of a $25-30 round of golf, lasts longer, and you can play it again. I certainly can't complain about the price, and can only praise the creative genius in the Half Life series.

Beat it earlier this morning, and this was money very well spent. I thoroughly enjoyed just about every aspect of this and can't wait for the next installment.

I finally broke down and purchased it. I started it this afternoon. I'm surprised how well it runs on my freePC (see my sig). 1280x1024x2AAx4AFxHDR all other settings on max.

I enjoyed the 6 hours or so of gameplay for $20 and it ran great using my 7800GS at 1360x768 with everything maxed out.
