Default Trying to use NVagp

I am trying to use nvagp.as a result,I get these:
Code:
$ lsmod |grep agp
agpgart                36784  1 nvidia
Code:
$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
Status:          Enabled
Driver:          NVIDIA
AGP Rate:        4x
Fast Writes:     Disabled
SBA:             Disabled
but in NVIDIA's README:
Quote:
NVIDIA AGP support cannot be used if AGPGART is loaded in the kernel.
then,DO I get the nvagp work?

Hi!

Did you read this?

http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...ppendix-f.html

Do you have set Option "NvAgp" to "1" in your xorg.conf?

I have already set Option "NvAgp" to "1",and put agpgart&intel_agp to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist also.

I had similar problem, although I'm not able to get AGP working at all.
Having modules blacklisted only make them not appear after system boot. But once you load Nvidia module it load agpgart even if it's blacklisted. I even re-compile Kernel without agpgart, although it didn't help in getting AGP working :-\

Hi!

Sorry, my fault. I think you use already the nvagp, because i have the same output with:

Quote:
$ cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
Status: Enabled
Driver: NVIDIA
AGP Rate: 8x
Fast Writes: Disabled
SBA: Enabled
and i don't have the agpgart module compiled into the kernel...

Hi!

As i wrote above, i don't have agpgart compiled as a module nor direct into the kernel:

Quote:
# modprobe agpgart
FATAL: Module agpgart not found.
and

Quote:
# modinfo agpgart
modinfo: could not find module agpgart

thank you for help!
What about other modules, is nvidia module inoke any other modules with itself?
I'm asking such questions as trying to figure out how NvAGP working, as it's my only hope right now since AMD64_AGP left me with blank screen after which monitor goes in standby mode.

Hi!

Do you mean the nvidia kernel module?

Quote:
# lsmod | grep nvidia
nvidia 4548244 12
i2c_core 19920 6 nvidia,w83l785ts,asb100,eeprom,lm90,i2c_nforce2
*Edit*

Ah, and my system is debian testing with the vanilla kernel 2.6.16.17 and the ck- patchset.
