Default 1.0.8762 and 1080i freeze

Playing any video files using the 'xv' acceleration will freeze the system if using DVI and 1920x1080 interlaced resolution.

Motherboards: Asus A8N-VM CSM bios 1001 and MSI K8NGM2-FID bios 3.20
OS: Fedora Core 5 (32-bit version) w/ 2.6.16-1.2122_FC5 kernel
NVIDIA Driver: 1.0.8762 IA32

Command to cause freeze:
mplayer -ao alsa:device=iec958 -ac hwac3, -vo xv -fs -dr -monitoraspect 16:9 video.file.name

Also tested with kernel options: noacpi, noapic, pci=routeirq, pci=noacpi in various combinations

If using the VGA port, everything works fine.

Any mpeg2, divx/xvid files would cause this. Here's one:

Instead of trying to duplicate my failure, could we do the reverse and I'll try and duplicate your success?

What driver release, motherboard, graphics card, OS, cpu does NVIDIA use that works via PCI-E graphics(or 6150), DVI and/or component out at 1080i using XVideo(or xvmc) ?

I think I have the same problem. Where can I see the solution of this bug?
Thanks!
