Arrow Please post your 7950 overclocks here...

If you have a 7950 and have overclocked it, please post the clock and memory speeds that you are able to get it to. Please list which brand/model you have.

Thanks.

Find optimal chose 550/700 (stock is 500/600). I haven't tried to go past that yet.

I've just used 550/700 so far. My 3DMark06 score went from 7716 to 8047 with that overclock. I'll try the XXX speeds now to see how that goes. I still need to loop Deep Freeze with the overclock settings to make sure it's completely stable but it was fine running through 3DM06 twice. No artifacts or anything.

I have MSI. I think it's strictly a reference design.

I'm trying 570/750 now. I didn't want to jump straight to the XXX speeds so I'll edit this post once 3Dmark06 is done running to let you know how it went.

570/750 seemed to do okay. Bumped my 3DM06 score up to 8163. I'll try the full XFX XXX specs now (570/775).

Bear in mind though, this is just passing one iteration of 3DMark06. To confirm it's completely stable I'll need to do more than that.

Edit: The oc test doesn't want to let me past 770. So, I'm trying 570/770 instead.

Edit 2: Since the overclock didn't change things greatly from the optimal detected overclock, I'm just sticking with 550/700 for now. I've been looping Deep Freeze and it seems fine. The card idles pretty high but the temp didn't really change all that much while looping Deep Freeze so that's good.

I was still hoping for much higher results, I'm hoping someone can eventually get near the 7900 speeds. I hit 10,000 in 3D06 so seeing these results is kind of a drag, I still haven't seen any 7950's break the 9000's yet.

This card isn't going to break any speed records, until QUAD SLI is generally released, which I think is going to sooner rather than later, I've heard as early as next week. nVidia STILL hasn't released a WHQL driver that supports the 7950. My guess is that the next WHQL with 7950 will have QUAD SLI support. Just a guess of course.

kwynjunk,

I'm getting the XXX tomorrow, you have almost the same system as I (I've got a an X2 4800+ CPU OC'ed to 2.6, so you'll get a little better scores than me).

Try oc'ing the GPU and see how that goes. I'd be curious, but wouldn't expect much.

Thanks!
