I tested hardocp's speeds and I also was able to achieve 600 / 1.54 with no crashes or stability problems, been testing it mainly on Doom 3. These cards are just destroying everything I can throw at them. They have yet let me down or stutter one bit. I'm in love with nvidia and evga

Well right now I'm back to the classic CPL so I can adjust the threaded optimizations if necessary for some troubleshooting. But the temps were showing up in the new control panel when I used it.

Guys i have a question, if all the 7950 are the same, and XFX cards are just overclocked in the house, does that mean that anyone buying a stock clocked card could overclock it to XFX speed? That would mean that with a XFX the difference in price is for the overclock that you can do yourself ?

Thanks

Not sure about that, but i've seen people say they could not clock their cards that high. I don't know why though. I actually have the XXX XFX and can push it just a little further too!!

EDIT: I don't know if they would do better if they flashed their cards with the XXX BIOS, but I"m really not the one to ask about that.

Quote from nvidia website :

Quote:
In the increasingly crowded industry of video card manufacturing, some companies stand out. They implement smart technology, ingenious engineering and innovative design. Above all they have an essence that may often be imitated but never duplicated. XFX does all this. By combining 10 years of technical and market experience with NVIDIA's unmatched advanced graphic processing technologies, XFX has created a unique synergy that has never before been seen.
On the french verion of the XFX page, it says they use high quality components, using PINE Technology.
I guess it's not just a bios improvment, or nvidia would do it right ?

Your evga cards are at stock speeds out of the box ? 500 for gpu and 600 for ram?

Yes but evga offers lifetime warrentys, and has a step-up program which in some cases cards will be free, evga > all.
