1476 marks on my first time through, which seems pretty decent for my setup from what I've been reading. Athlon XP 1900+, 256mb 333ddr ram, Geforce4 Ti4200, Asus A78VX KT400.

I also had the same error on the last sound test that someone provided a screenshot for earlier. I have a SB Live1024.

I got 1069 3dMarks:

CPU:_AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 1514 MHz
GPU:_NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200
219.5 MHz / 486.8 MHz
OS:_Microsoft Windows XP
Res:_1024*768@32 bit

Seeing the GF4 scores, no wonder nVidia pulled out. I would like to see how the FX does in this benchmark.

I only got 1010 with my computer. I'm surprised at how slow this runs on a GF3 (ie: 1fps). So far scores seem to be more video card bound than cpu. Looks like nothing currently available other than the Ati 9700 can handle this at a decent frame rate. Also, it's evident that you need at least 128mb of video memory or else it will resort to (slow) AGP texture swapping.

Another problem I have is that it always crashes out to my desktop during the demo in either the Proxycon part, or right after (never gets to Troll's Lair). I tried different nvidia driver versions and still the same. I even tried underclocking my system memory to make sure that wasn't the cause of instability!

I got 4429 with my setup. Everything at default settings, PC, and Vid card all at stock speeds.

Of course my BS AC97 didnt complete any of the tests(Not supported-Not supported-Not supported) hehe..might finally be time to get a real soundcard in the machine.

Man oh man. Things just keep looking worse for Nvidia. I'm getting 1777 with my Ti4600. The 9700 Pro is getting around 3 times that high.

I know this is taking into consideration that the 9700 Pro is doing more test but it is still indicating just how impotent Nvidia is appearing.

Ugh - I totally screwed-up - now I know why I was only getting 1156 score - I had manually set my Ti4600 last night to Quincunx AA for some Unreal 2 action.

Once I turned that off, my 3DMark03 score jumped to 1803. A bit more respectable.

I scored 4596...

There are parts of this benchmark that run pretty smooth and others that are an absolute choppy slide-show.

It is obvious to me that unless there is some breakthrough with regard to ATI's driver that it'll take one hell of a system upgrade to make this thing run smooth overall. I mean, really... A p4 2.53 and it drops down to 1-3fps in spots? It'll take at least quadruple the speed of my current system to smooth that out.

Ridiculous...

Makes me wonder if futuremark was able to run this smoothly on ANY system currently out there. WTF are they running this on over there, a Cray?

My best so far, should be able to reach near 6000 in the near future.

has ANYONE read my post or am i just being paranoid.

Nvidia didn't pull out because they couldn't handle it, they gave thier reasons here.

the gffx did fine in 2003 here.

in my opinion the futuremark corporation put too much separation between radeon 7000-8500 geforce 4200-4600 series and the GFFX radeon 9000-9700 series. Since GFFX is not available retail yet, it makes anyone who is paying any attention want to buy ATI. I do commend futuremark, however. They did wait this long for the GFFX . It just seems they purposely put out a benchmark that the GF4 series couldn't handle at all. I mean NO SEPARATION between the highest end NV card you can get and the slowest card of a generation older(GF4 Ti4600 and GF3 Ti200)? Again i repeat, WTF!

Pretty good. You're the first one I've heard to break 5000. Still, I imagine your system dropped to well under 5fps at points in the benchmark as well. Pretty sickening, really...

Bring on the 10ghz P4!
