1588 with stock speeds. Is that good? Sure. Why not?

Well I got 1500, so I guess it hardly matters what cpu/ram you have. It's _extremely_ gpu based.

the games are as thus

game 1 = dx7
game 2 and game 3 = dx8.1
game 4 = dx9

if you don't have dx9 hardware you will not be able to run game 4 and therefore your score will be lower...

Well, that makes sense. My Ti4600 is fully DX8 compatible and 3DMark03 gives me basically the same score with it on my ancient P3/SDRAM system (~1100) as with my new P4/RDRAM system (~1300) I just built yesterday. Since I can't even run any DX9 stuff I don't get docked in the final score, right? That being the case, man talk about GPU limited!

Note same system upgrade boosted my 3DMark2001SE score from 6700 to 14500. 'The Gamer's Benchmark' indeed.

They need to change their slogan to 'The GPU Benchmark'.

1523 with Kazaa and Messenger and a few other apps running
That's with a Thoroughbred XP2000+ and a Ti4400. Didn't drop below 2FPS at any point (I even got 299FPS on that first game test at one point!).

But is a 3D Benchmark really the place for homosexual trolls? I think it's wrong that children might see the scene where two trolls are in a sexual relationship, and at one point one troll simply cannot contain his feelings for the other and jumps on him in a clearly sexual act. Disgraceful. I will be writing to Boris Johnson MP about this for sure.

thats pretty much what it is a gpu benchmark...

I keep getting high scores (compared to other similarly equipped systems) but I can't submit cz the futuremark server is down

have runt he test 4 times now...

averaging quite decent... 4460 - 4435 - 4439 - 4473 was the last one I ran

just trying to submit for the past hour lol... I saved my first one but I can't upload saved results

oh well... I'll keep clicking...

Ah, your total score does get docked if you can't run a game test.

3DMark 2003 score = (GT1fps * 7.3) + (GT2fps * 37) + (GT3fps * 47.1) + (GT4fps * 38.7).

That goes some way toward explaining the really low scores on DX8 hardware.
Very good article on explosivelabs.

Quick question here for you guys...

This demo, as everyone knows, gets very choppy in some spots when the frame rate drops down to under 10fps (sometimes even 1-3fps). I expect choppiness there, ofcourse.

The flight sim portion runs pretty smooth for me. Here's the thing... Even in the few parts of the benchmark/demo where the frame counter gets up to well over 30 it still seems very jerkey and choppy. A friend of mine said it did that on his machine as well but the second time he ran it that was no longer a problem (except ofcourse when it got down to 1-3fps). I haven't tried running it two or three times in a row to see if it comes out of that yet. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using the new catalyst 3.1 drivers if it helps. Thanks

1035 with:

P4 1800
512 DDRAM
GeForce 3 TI 200 @ 200/500

Im very disappointed!

Its a Graphics - not the Gamers Benchmark!
