This works now for the Config.wtf. Shaders are disabled. I also installed the Interface Addon suggested on the wine site, see link above. However, the overall performance is not as good as it used to be (i only get around 15fps), and whenever i enter an in or when i log in, while im in an inn the game crashes with the mentioned error.

Guys, the problem is the minimap.

Download the minimap mod that disables it and you are good to go.

Wine 0.9.16 works just fine now.

You must have all the settings turned to low. They will be blurry if you don't have the settings on max.

Now that a new Wine is out, and a new WoW patch is out (1.11.2) it seems you need a new patch for Wine. It changes some bit depth for GLX.

It's attached to this post. I also attached a patch I've made to fix the SPI_GET/SETMOUSESPEED fixme messages.

For further WoW questions, I suggest the Wine AppDB, Gentoo forums and the Gentoo wiki.

no I got everything maxed (I max every possible thing whenever I play a game)
And compared to games like guild wars, oblivian,PSO, RF and even liniage 2.
Graphics and textures on wow are just generic blury and blah.
I really hated that game for the 3 months I had a subscription.
It's so over rated.
I thought it would be good because of all the hype.
Yuck.
