Use "Synaptic" and search for "Nvidia" Download the nvidia-glx package. Or, if you prefer, you can use the apt-get command. After that, I believe you have to edit your xorg.conf to add more resolutions. I never did it because I'm stuck at 1024x768.

Edit: Yeah, you need to edit your xorg.conf. Below what needs to be edited:
Code:
Section "Screen"
	[...]
	SubSection "Display"
		Depth 1
		Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
	EndSubSection
Make sure the resolution is supported by your monitor before adding it and be sure to add it in all Depth's, too.

To edit your xorg.conf use these commands
Backup your xorg.conf
Code:
sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.con /etc/X11/xorg.conf_backup
If you need to revert:
Code:
sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf_backup /etc/X11/xorg.conf
To edit:
Code:
sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
or
Code:
sudo gedit /etc/x11/xorg.conf

Yes, it should support it. It's a matter of if your Monitor supports it, really. Though, some people have had issues w/ Linux and using something other than 1024x768. From what I gather, it's uncommon.

Also, you might want to change:
Code:
Driver "nv"
to
Code:
Driver "nvidia"
If your card isn't performing properly. I've run into where it isn't set properly in my xorg.conf a few times.
