I was tempted to mess with that, but I only have a Pentium M, so it doesn't really matter I'm assuming :P Supposedly they are already working on a patch, that, among other things, will make routine backups of your savegame so you won't lose your character when it crashes.

Do you guys have vsync enabled in TQ?
I had it on for a while, because the screen tearing was kind of disorienting me when I looked anywhere on the screen other than at my character. But then my framerate was too low, so I decided to just suffer it.

Got pretty far with my Warfare/Defense build last night. Thinking of rolling up a Rogue/Hunter build this weekend at a LAN.

I've been tempted to turn vsync back on, since I turned the texture quality down the medium and it seems to have helped the hitching. I'm running it on a Geforce Go 6800 with 256 MB of ram. It's basically a Geforce 6800. I must say I'm surprised that an action RPG is kicking its ass so badly. I've been running at pretty mellow settings too. Everything on medium, shadows at low, no AA, only 1200x768 resolution. Ah well, it's mostly smooth.

Maybe its time for an upgrade :P Anybody interested in an Inspiron laptop?

I use vsync on this laptop, I have to test it if the performance is better without it but I don't expect much more fps with this card/drivers. But the dual core tweak could help.
I'm eyeing a new Dell now. Geforce 7900 GS 256 MB, Core Duo 2Ghz *drool*. Basically twice the power of my current laptop. 35% off now too. Not sure for how long. I get paid on the 8th, and hopefully I'll have found a buyer for my current laptop by then and I can pick it up for a net cost of about $1000. Not bad eh? Lets see Titan Quest chew up and spit out THAT machine!

Actually it probably will :P
