Default How to slow the cooler down?

Hi,
I bought a GeForce 6800GS with works fine under linux. But the cooler of this card is a bit noisy... In Windoze I can slow it down with RivaTuner. Is there any similar tool for Linux available? nvclock does not work, because the chip on the card is too new.
Or is there a way to slow down the cooler with the nvidia driver directly? It could be possible because the Nvidia Driver slows it a bit down when starting Xorg. But not enough .

Yeah, nvclock 0.8b does not support this card... Try the CVS version instead (as the thread above suggests).

I replaced the default cooler on my 6800gs with an Accelero X1 (http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=91) and am very happy with it, without needing nvclock.
