I have an agp 5500 nvidia card setup with dual heads attached to it and a pci 5500 nvidia card with a single head attached to it.
I have the bios set to use the pci card as the main display. When I boot up, the bios posts off the single headed pci card and the OS loads off that card too. When I start X up, the pci side goes blank and the the agp side takes over. Everything seems fine on the agp card thats running two monitors but I'm getting a warning in my xorg.log saying; "(WW) NVIDIA: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:9:0) found" and also an error saying; "(EE) Screen 2 deleted because of no matching config section." lspci gives me this; 01:09.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5500] (rev a1) 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5500] (rev a1) I'm hoping that someone can take a look at the attached bug report and see what I'm screwing up. Thanks |

Try removing the Screen entry from this section:
Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard2" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "Videocard Vendor" BoardName "PCI nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5500]" BusID "PCI:1:9:0" Screen 2 EndSection Thanks, Lonni |

Removing it did the trick. I now have a working three headed desktop! I spent the last two days fighting this, it's great to have it working. Thank you so very much!
