I like this game ,it seems that it is longer then six or 7 hours ,I still have'nt finished it and I been playing about 8 hours ,but I am in no hurry and checking out everthing ,I like it better then Quake 4 which I still have not finished because I got bored with it ,but with the 91.33 drivers it plays smooth with no studdering or flashing texture like some games I have played.

Yep. I found it alot longer than what early reports said. Great game, I was drifting away from PC gaming, this brought me back. Now playing Titan Quest

There will definitly be an expansion, as the game ends in the pefect place to start a new one. And the final words you see are "Prey will continue..."

So, there will obviously be an expansion

I just finished it ,and thought it was a great game ,it ran very smooth with no studdering ,in fact it ran smooth all the way to the end,I know I played it over 12 hours ,but like I said I was in no hurry ,I do not see how you could play this game in 6 hours unless you played it in god mode and did'nt take time to look at all the places,or I am just slow ,but I enjoyed it ,it has been awhile since I played a game all the way though with about a four hour rest about half way though ,but it kept me interreste decent story line.and you know it will have a expansion pack down the road.

I've finished it in 7h30min, and I took A LOT of time to "watch" the levels, take screenshots, listen to the radio reports etc...
It's a good game, but it's way too short

Prey is certainly creative & never gets repeative or boring (sometimes) as Doom3/Quake4 did.
very good job Humanhead!!

I just finished the game. It took me 8hrs 10min. The parts toward the end were awesome, one of the coolest endings I've seen.

I thought it was quite challenging, and I liked the way you respawned; it kept the action fresh without much rehash. Not having to replay levels after death made the playtime shorter, but it was more fun and intense. Prey is a tight package.

Though I have finished the game, some questions I had remain unanswered. What were those possessed kids, and those flying ghostly figures which looked like mantas?

I should also add I found it quite amazing that I could play this on my rig at 1600x1200 4x/16x and reamian pegged at 60fps in 90% of the game.

It was interesting to me that in this game I was able to play at 60Hz and never once had a problem with it, though any other game I have tried 1600x1200 with give me a headache after a bit.

So how do you guys feel about the numerous hexagonal grid force fields on the way up? I almost immediately thought shades of G Police the 1997 game, see the pic below of its force field. Very similar, but just coincidence. Those are great levels in Prey ascending but maybe the grid seems a little restrictive. Dunno, I just had to mention it though and for the G Police flashback:
