Bump! I am feeling an urgent need to reinstall and play this wonderfull game. I remember how much I was waiting for this and how much I played it when it came out. Today when I woke up I somehow reminded myself of this game. Reinstalling this evening. Who else feel like playing Prey now?

Prey was a favorite of mine... that one boss was just WHAT and the opening was classic. It's just pure shooter goodness with great graphics and design.

I Loved Prey, will have to reload it soon also.

I also thought this...

Was sooo much closer to what SHOULD have been a cyberdemon in Doom 3. Just scale it up a couple hundred %.

Never did buy the game. Firing up Steam to see how much it goes for.

Don't know why, but I'm very fond of Doom3, Quake 4, and from the demo Prey. Absolutely love the graphics and darn near everything else about the games.

Good times.

Guess it's no longer available on Steam.

Found it on Amazon, supposedly new, for $1.77 (regularly $19.99). Ships from and sold by GoGamer so I guess that's legit. Purchasing now.

EDIT: You must have posted right as I did. Yeah, found it super cheap on Amazon so I'm just getting a retail copy. Any patches or such I'll need to DL to get it working under 7 x64?

Bought. Really liked the demo and for less than $10 (tax and shipping included)... couldn't say no.

Looking forward to this game.

And you know- I think it's just something about the Doom3 engine. If they made a brand new game that used that engine, and they focused most their resources on story line and atmosphere- I'd buy it brand new. It's a solid engine IMO.

Okay, so I bought this off of Amazon for a total of $7.77 (shipped).

What I want to know about is getting it to work under Windows 7 x64... any special tricks? I probably wont install it immediately as I am planning on purchasing a 5850 this week or next and will do a fresh install of Windows once the card arrives- so I'll play it on my new card. Just want to be sure it works head-ache free instead of figuring out the hard way how to get it working.

Is it like Quake4? Can I just install it, then DL the latest patch and off I go?

IMHO, it gets way better after you get past the demo area. But I wasn't particularly impressed with the demo so YMMV.

They did, it was called Wolfenstein and nobody bought it.
