mouse pointer disappears with ndivia driver

Hi there,

I don't know which is the relation between the mouse and the Ndivia driver, but the thing is that sometimes the pointer doesn't appear after the Ndivia splash (just before the login screen). I'm using Fedora 6 and it doesn't happen always.

I'm not sure what you mean with the link... I had already read that entry (and searched the forum for my problem).

I hope it means that you need my nvidia-bug-report.log. Please find it enclosed as attachment (I didnt't upload it before because the pointer doesn't disappear always and I had to wait till it happened). By the way, while the nvidia driver seems to work fine with the graphics, I can't see anything (but weird lines) in ctrl+alt+f1...

I have a few questions:
0) Have you verified that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS?
1) Does this problem also reproduce with 1.0-9755?
2) In the BIOS, is there a setting for the amount of video RAM? If so, have you tested with different values?
3) I'm assuming that the problem was present when this bug report was generated? If so, I'd like to see another when the problem is not present.

Sorry for not having included this file before (report when the problem isn't present), but I'm not an expert on computers... Anyway I'll do my best answering your questions:

I think it has the latest BIOS since I haven't found any update.

Sorry, but I don't understand the second (1) question.

And the BIOS seems to have the right distribution of video RAM. Should I try it with less or more megas?

Question 1 is asking whether this problem reproduces with the latest supported driver, which is 1.0-9755. 1.0-9746 is no longer supported.

Yes, you should test with different amounts of VRAM in the BIOS.
