And one more...
I have an Asus A6T-AP014H, and like all of you, I still don't don't know how solve this problem.
I'm using Ubuntu Dapper

Now, let's hope that our contributions will give nvidia team the wish to find out the solution...

Yes, like everybody else here I have an ASUS A6T(-AP005H) - with an installed gentoo 2.4.16 Linux system. I also have the same GL-problems that the rest of you have described.

The interesting thing is, however, that I occasionally get the same graphics problems when I run Windows XP; not always, but sometimes when I least expect it (maybe when a GL-screensaver is activated). That is the screen becomes kind of grayish with horizontal jagged lines. In difference to when running Linux it is mostly possible to press the power button in Windows XP, and let the machine turn off gracefully. It is maybe worth pointing out that I only use Windows when I want to run Skype.

That is, like the user in add #61 reports I'm not sure it is a Linux only problem.

In difference to other laptops I've had this one gets really warm also on the top (in particular right next to the upper right corner of the touchpad).

Yes, I can confirm that too. I found the bug using Windows XP too, but cannot reproduce it as easily as with Linux.

I tried that too, but :

1 - is *really* slow, almost impossible to log in

2 - How clearly stated in the intro page, nobody of Asus follow that forum, so don't wait there reply from them

I try of course to write to their mail customer support, and after a couple of day the only response is "Sorry, but your os is not supported by us."

So, no good news, sorry...
