Fedora Core 5 + 6800 GT troubles..

Just so everyone knows I'm a complete Linux noob as of right now. =[

I have looked for guides, tutorials, or any information regarding FC5 and Nvidia drivers and have tried them all (that I am aware of), only to arrive at the same outcome every time.

No precompiled kernel interface was found to match your kernel; would you like the installer to download from Nvidia FTP site? . . .

Upon selecting yes I that get.

No matching precompiled kernel interface was found on the NVIDIA ftp site.

which leads to. . .

Installation then goes on to inform me that it has failed. =[

Can anyone shine any light on this or link me to possible solutions that I have overlooked?
