Firefox would be my second choice. IE would be my last.

I thought about using IE as my sole browser once but instead opted to slam my genitals in a door; the experience was the same, however the genital-door-slam did not require me to verify that I was "Genuine" and enumerate my physical hardware.

I switched to Opera first because of the tabbed browsing. After I got sick of stability problems with version 7 I switched over to FF and haven't gone back. I only use IE for windowsupdate and when I run into a (rare) site that requires it.

Is it me or does this feel like a "I use IE and I'm insecure about it, so tell me why you use FF so I can come back with lame excuses to use IE instead" thread?
Just my opinion...

I use Firefox because it sucks less than the others. Galeon's GUI brilliant, fast and responsive (compared to FF), but after trying a few Firefox extensions (namely rikaichan and Greasemonkey) I could put unresponsiveness of FF aside and start using it as my primary browser. Not to mention Galeon is no longer developed.
In short: FF for general use, links for remote shell, dillo for blazing fast browsing. By the way is it just me, or is evilghost really desperate for attention? But he clearly has The Hint(tm) about something: Privoxy is a brilliant piece of software -- even with Firefox's extensions around.

I use firefox, simply because using IE has given me so many headaches with spyware/adware/bloatware.
I have no spyware/adware on my desktop computer. I also use Firefox exclusively as my browser. Call me naive, but I think there's a correlation between the two. And I have visited some less than reputable websites (for no-cd cracks) that would have violated a typical IE user in popups and adware. I never use IE. Even if a web page requires it for some unknown reason, I don't go there because any web site that hires ****ty web designers who can't make a web page work with FF/Safari/Opera doesn't deserve my attention anyway. Just my opinion. Other reasons: -Firefox might be slower to start up than IE, but it seems to use less memory. Then again, the only extension I use is Bugmenot. -The tabbed browsing is a godsend. It's sad that IE7 is only now incorporating a feature that others has been using for several years, but better late than never, I guess. -The search functionality on FF is convenient. I can do a wikipedia search, amazon search, google, dictionary, IMDB, and more without having to go to the web pages first. -Firefox handles PNG files nicely. I'm glad that IE7 finally added alpha channel support for image formats.

I use IE7 Beta 3 although I once swore by Firefox and Opera (at seperate times). I can't really find a reason to use either now though.

The only reason I use firefox is for tabbed browsing. Internet explorer is much faster for me.
