Poor java swing performance on FC5
when using java applications with swing UI on my Fedora Core 5 (hardware: Dell Latitude D820 notebook, NVidia Quadro NVS 110M graphics card) the applications react *very* slow on any user input (opening dialogs, resizing panels, opening menus etc.). I think this is due to the livna nvidia drivers I use:
When I deinstall these two packages and use the original xorg nvidia driver that comes with FC5, java apps are much faster. The downside is that I cannot use dual-head mode with xinerama enabled on my machine.
Did anyone else experience such problems with java apps? Does anyone have a solution?
