Hi
I have recently tried to install the latest driver(1.0.7182) on my system and it appears from its log file to have installed ok. On trying to run startx I get an error report which says that xorg cannot load GLcore and that it cannot load nvidia(module does not exist). Running lsmod does show the nvidia module with a size of 3934156. If I then revert to the "nv" driver it is no longer able to emulate GL actions which it did before(slowly) and the xorg log still shows GLcore as unloadable and therefore unloads glx I attach the Installer log. and the current Xorg log. Running FC5 2.6.17-1.2157 with recent update of GL bits! Unfortunately the Xorg log which shows the error messages which result from trying to use "nvidia" have been deleted but I could re-generate them if needed. Any Suggested cures for this situation. Sorry to answer my own query but I found the note from Zander from the 26th June about running Nvidia drivers with FC5. I used yum to install xorg-x11-server-sdk and after re-booting, the driver now works!
