Audio problems with nForce & Linux
I've got a Asus Pundit barebone (P1-AH1) which is using a nForce chipset (NB:Nvidia CRUSH 51PV;SB:Nvidia MCP 51) and has an onboard sound (Realtek ALC861).
I've tried it with the latest alsa drivers and a 2.6.16 kernel, but didn't succeeded in getting the sound working. It's somehow strange that a soundcard is detected, but the mixer does not show controls for the master or pcm output.
The output of lspci -v for the audio card is the following
00:10.1 Class 0403: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 81cb
Flags: bus master, 66Mhz, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 18
Memory at fe028000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: Power Management version 2
Capabilities: Message Signalled Interrupts: 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable-
Capabilities: [6c] HyperTransport: MSI Mapping
Does anybody else has these problems? Are there any suggestions for making my board run with linux?
