The XID messages and other information I posted don't help any?

I'm afraid that they do not point to a specific bug, or solution, but rather a class of events. Without a means of reproducing this here, there isn't anything else I can suggest.

So you're saying that Nvidia can't borrow a board from one of its partners? Do I need to go buy one of these boards and ship it to you?

Our partners lend us hardware all of the time for resolving bugs that they report to us. Have you reported this problem to Abit, or whomever manufactured the videocard that you're using?

Thanks,
Lonni

Abit says other people are running SLI on this board, so it's not their problem. BFG says they have no data on my board, but that many people are running their 7800 GTXs in SLI, so it's not their problem. So here I sit, with all the vendors pointing at each other, and to me, it doesn't look like anyone is really willing to step up and do what's needed to resolve this issue.

Did Abit state whether they were able to run SLI under Linux on this board?

Linux is unsupported according to them. So I had to come at it from the angle of getting BSODs in the desktop as well as games when SLI is enabled under windows. I'll try asking about linux again though, just to see if I can get someone with a clue.

So far, I can't even get a simple yes/no response from Abit to your last question, Lonni. So at this point, I don't know what to tell you, other than Abit has lost a customer.

Well, I got a most unhelpful unanswer. I was told that nvidia should ask the abit QA people directly.

So much dodging. So little help.

So, if I set the game res to be the same as the desktop res, the system doesn't lock up when I exit the game. Does this point to anything useful?

Sorry, it does not. Have you tested 1.0-9625?
