Default Random Decrease In Performance

I've posted this multiple places and nothing has come of it yet, this includes the Ubuntu Forums, WineHQ, Linux-Gamers.net. Perhaps you guys can help.

First off, I know running anything in an emulator is running the risk of taking a performance decrease.

The issue I'm having is that I'm running Wine 0.9.17 with World of Warcraft. When I first installed it, the FPS were 80+ with a drop to 40 in some areas. Now when I play I'll get lucky if it breaks 20 fps and I didn't even change anything. Yes, I'm running it in opengl mode.

Here's a copy of my xorg.conf, everything else should be in my sig that you require. If not, ask and I shall give.
Code:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

EDIT: The odd thing is, I can change the in-game options now and it doesn't change my FPS at all, unless it's the Terrain Distance and the resolution will give probably a 2 frames difference in 800x600 and 1280x960.

Does disabling the Composite extension help?

I'll check later on tonite. I reformatted and decided to go with the 64bit version of Kubuntu. So far everything is running a hell of a lot better. I'll keep you updated and thanks for the feedback thus far.
