Default NVIDIA GF 6200 Suse installation

I am trying to install the drivers for a GF 6200 PCI express card on a SUSE 10 OS.
This procedure is supposed to be straight forward. I have done the installation using the YOU of suse as it is suggested on the corresponding NVIDIA site.

As far as I understand installation is done automatically. However, I have not observed any improvement on the graphics acceleration and I cannot configure any graphics settings such as resolution, frequency etc.... Below I present the nvidia-installer.log:

nvidia-installer log file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log'

Default Re: NVIDIA GF 6200 Suse installation

Did you update the Xorg configuration file to use the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver? If not, please see http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...hapter-03.html for more information. For SuSE specific installation instructions, please see http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html.
