X server lockup
We have been experiencing X server lockups on serveral systems using the following configurations :
- Dell precision 470, with dual 2.8 GHz Xeon CPUs,
- a Quadro FX 540 video Card with two screens attached, but not using Xinerama.
- redhat linux enterprise server version 3.
- kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp
- nvidia driver 8762
We found several other similar bugs reports on this forum and tried to add : pci=conf1 and acpi=off to our boot options but it didn't solve the problem.
Does anybody have a suggestion to help us?

Re: X server lockup
Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log.
You should also verify that you're using the latest BIOS, and verify that this reproduces with the most recent RHEL3 kernel (the one you noted above is not the most recent).
