Default X crashes with nvidia-8774 and Googleearth

with mandriva 2007b2 "odin"
i'm using X.org 7.1 and nvidia 8774 driver

when i'm running last googleearth software for linux
during the initialization of the software (googleearth) my X server is crashing

i send my nvidia-bug-report.log file but it's generated after automatic X restart

maybe i have to do something to have a more precise report, but i do not know what to do.

Default Re: X crashes with nvidia-8774 and Googleearth

In your bug report I see:
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the GLX module; please check in your X
(EE) NVIDIA(0): log file that the GLX module has been loaded in your X
(EE) NVIDIA(0): server, and that the module is the NVIDIA GLX module. If
(EE) NVIDIA(0): you continue to encounter problems, Please try
(EE) NVIDIA(0): reinstalling the NVIDIA driver.

It looks like the NVIDIA driver wasn't correctly installed.

Thanks,
Lonni

Thumbs up Re: X crashes with nvidia-8774 and Googleearth

ok you are right

in my xorg.conf file i uncomment the following line :

Load "freetype"
#Load "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia/libglx.so"
Load "glx"

as follow

Load "freetype"
Load "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia/libglx.so"
Load "glx"

and now googleearth is working

i don't know why i've got this pb since i use
nvidia-xconfig command to generate my xorg.conf file

now i'm a happy guy with a working nvidia card
