GeForce 4mx nvidia kernel module crash
Hi,
i just upgraded my Xorg to Version 7.0.0 and it does not work with my nvidia driver (7167). So I installed the latest driver version (8774). It compiles and loads fine, but crashs if Xorg is started. I have attached the kernel log. I have an GeForce 4 mx and the Linux kernel version is 2.6.17.11. |

Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log. You should also verify that you're using the latest BIOS for the motherboard.

I have updated my BIOS to the latest version, but nothing changed.
The bug-report was generated before I started Xorg, because after the crash of the nvidia module the script does not produce anything useful. I also attached the Xorg.log. I hope this helps. Thanks for your Help Sebastian. |

Does this problem reproduce without Twinview, or if you're not using the TV?

It is the same without twin-view and a normal vga-screen connected.
The kernel module loads and crashs if Xorg is started... |

Hi,
as it seems that there is no solution for my problem. I wonder if I could somehow get the old 7167 nvidia driver running under Xorg 7.0.0. This old version just worked perfect, but it does not load under Xorg 7.0.0. Thanks for your help Sebastian |
