Can't wait to see your latest creation Bladerunner. I remember the awesome block you built for that Asus Gf3 that Mr. Jen-Hsun Huang had you send to him. Strictly professional work there man

I'd like to show you the pics but I still have to talk to other people, and there are other more important factors taking most of my time atm. I'd love to be able to spend every waking hour on this and other cooling projects, but like everyone I need to eat & pay bills . It's also just typical this project and another have happend right now when my real life job is at it's busiest so that I'm working 7am to 8pm or later 7 days a week and near enough too tired to be bothered with it when I do get home at night.

Not trying to paint a sob story here, just trying to get over the reasons. The fact I lost my o/s and back-up discs to the break in a few weeks back hasn't helped either. Anyway rest assuered I'll bring the topic back when I have more.

ya i too am most excited to see this but i also understand that you must live up to your obligations to others as well.

as for the breakin, i am very sorry to hear about that. it is a saddining to know how much dirty under-handed crap like that goes on in this world and even more depressing to know how we all wind up suffering because of it.

Still not got any feedback from those concerend regarding the pics yet

Anyway had a chance to get rivia tuner in and have a look the card. It is reported as a Nvidia Geforce FX 5800 Ultra and the clock speeds are set by default at 450 core / 900 ram, (using the 42.68 drivers).

Raising the clocks to 500 / 1000 gets lots of artifacts in 2d and much weirdness in 3d.

Like I said this card was sent to me as dead so this should not be taken as and example, and would of course be no use as a indicator for benchmarking purposes.

Yeah, it sounds like something was actually wrong with the card you have. The default for the FX Ultra is 500/1000. I suspect that since you have problems , just going to the "stock" speed, there is something rather terminal with the card you have, and it must be one of the rejected or "fail" cards.

Now with that, I suspect you may be able to do 500/1000 .

Don't you read? He said the card was given to him as "dead" so it's obviously getting artifacts not because of the heat...
