Hello, I need help to get XvMC to work.
I have Geforce 7900GT pcie, with the newest driver(9629) installed, I have compiled the mplayer from source and it works with the xv driver, when trying using -vo xvmc it fails with Code:
VIDEO: [avc1] 1280x720 24bpp 23.976 fps 0.0 kbps ( 0.0 kbyte/s) Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0". vo_xvmc: X-Video extension 2.2 vo_xvmc: No X-Video MotionCompensation Extension on :0.0 Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device. Any tips to get this working? |

Does this problem go away if you instruct the X server to load the extmod module in your X configuration file?

You need to do a:
mplayer -vo xvmc -vc ffmpeg12mc the.flie. You can add the deinterlacer with: mplayer -vo xvmc:bobdeint -vc ffmpeg12mc the.file. You need the -vc setting for it to work. |
