Default Xorg.conf Minor Tweaks needed...HELP

I recently battled to get a working twinview setup under ubuntu and still need to correct a few minor issues:

1) Increase desktop refresh rate from default 50Hz to 60 or 75Hz by default

2) Set Meta modes so cedega etc...picks up full range of resolutions. Currently it will only allow 2880x1200 (ie full resolution across both screens)

The setup is as follows:

GeForce 6800GT AGP with DVI Connected to Viewsonic 1600x1200 LCD, VGA connected to Dell 17" 1280x1024 LCD. I have got the desktop to span at 2880x1200 (little bit of dead space at bottom of dell...gonna buy a second 1600x1200 soon!!), but it works great. Unfortunatly I sometimes get scan lines during movies due to low global refresh rate of 50Hz. All games launched under cedega will only report on possible resolution of 2880x1200, even under a windowed option. Want to be able to choose between 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480.

I think this should be easy to fix, but everytime I tinker I endup with a dead desktop. I have attached the xorg.conf for review.
