Default Saints Row - The GTA Killer

Well, got my copy of Saints Row today and have to say i'm loving it so far.

The nice little touches make it awesome, like being able to buy MP3s for your MP3 player, goto a plastic surgeon to get a face job to change your appearance etc

Just tons of depth and little sub plots going on, this game is great fun.

Looking for something to quant your thirst till the next GTA, this more than does it.

Saints Row weekender fo' sure.

I'll wear my Addict T-Shirt with pride. LOL

I tried out the demo. It looked pretty good, but I just couldn't get past how gritty it is. I was never into the GTA series either.

Seriously dude, it's great.

Has a very similar feel to GTA in some ways, but there is just so much more cool stuff that can be done. The world feels more alive as such.

Not even tried the online modes yet.

Noticed it doesn't say only on Xbox360 on the case or anything, so I wouldn't be suprised if we saw versions on other platforms. I really hope so.

Kids, I suggest you put in an older date of birth to get the best out of the site. lol

Note the "Only on Xbox" sign at the bottom of the website.

Suprised it wasn't on the game box.

The demo sucked... only decent part was the ragdolls... and that fun only lasted about 2 minutes.

Alot more blowing up of stuff than GTA, and you can get away with more before cops come after you. LoL

I agree, the demo was AWFUL. Choppy and rubbish.
Not done themselves any favours releasing a broken demo.

This game is simply awesome.

The sub-missions are great fun, you carry a mobile around... I spotted a few phone numbers for different things and the numbers do actually work. LOL
Like, I rang a taxi firm and you can get rides to different parts of the map, which can save alot of time.

I got a few wicked pimped up sports cars in my garage, can mod them like you would in NFS:MW.

The effects from blowing up cars are simply amazing, people catch fire and run around screaming and you can see the heat haze coming off the fire and everything.

Snatch ...cool game mode, you go about stealing ho's off pimps LOL
More levels you do, the bigger a cut you get each day.

It's like a cross between Godfather and GTA for the fact you have several crime families.

The sense of humour is great... PMSL ...there's a food place called "Freckle Bitches" and the food has names like Chicken Bazooms and Swallow Whole or something. heh

Can have alot of fun iniating fights in the street just by hitting someone, your fellow gang members in the street will just start kicking their ass too.

You can recruit people to walk about with ya which is good fun, as the game goes on you get more respect and can command more folks.

Sub-games include Snatch (Ho theft), Hitman (Where you have to hunt folks down, but the cool part is you only know what area they are in and dont actually get to be told exactly where they are, its pot luck whether you get a target cross on the mini map to get them. ) , Escort ....where you drive hookers whilst they nail businessmen, Drug Trafficking... which is cool fun.

You can break into all of the shops at night and have to crack the safe, or in daytime you can hold up the store by pointing the gun at them and walking them out back to the safe.

It's like what GTA should have been, and the next one has to go a long way to beat this gem. This game is huge, ive been playing allday doing story missions and I haven't even scratched the surface yet. I'm walking around with a few thousand dollars at a time, buying basic weaponary.... and there are $3,000 rifles and sports cars going for stupid amounts like 40 million at the foreign import garages.

Very addicted.

Missed this earlier... but you could swim in San Andreas... and after Vice City (which I loved) I felt the same way a lot of people were with the whole "once you played one, you played them all"... but then once the PC version came out I decided to pick it up and it was amazing... so much was changed and they added so many things that made the game so much better than the previous games, and I am very much hyped for GTA4.
