Default Resolution Options via TwinView

I am running a Nvidia 7800GTX via Twin View on Debian & would like more screen space per LCD via twin view. When I check my resolution, it shows I am 2048x768. I would like each LCD to be 1280x1024 but I have no idea how that works...That option you see in my resolution window is my only resolution options for some reason and I would like everything smaller. Can someone please give me a hand since this is new for me? I read the FAQ and nVidia guide but I think something may be wrong.
