Hello,
I have created a rather long thread on LinuxQuestions asking for help installing the latest nvidia driver, which I was finally able to install without exception. However, I have now come up against another roadblock. When I try to start X, I just get a blank screen that flickers off and on as it struggles to display something. There is a long thread on nvnews discussing a very similar issue, but there doesn't appear to be a solution posted anywhere. I've filed a bug report with Nvidia, but I was also referred to this site from a user at LQ, so I figured I'd give this a shot, too. I'm not sure if it's a bug or I just have something wrong in my xorg.conf file. If there is, I certainly can't find it. Thanks |
