The jump in FPS from my 7800GT to 7900GT was huge in FEAR so I know what you mean. Only thing I turn down is Soft Shadows.

Going SLI was even better, especially in Oblivion. The FPS in town and outside are now the same.Nice and smooth. Thats with everything maxed with texture mods at 1280x1024 with no ini tweaks.

I have the 91.47s off nv's site installed, to reinstall DX9 do you have to uninstall first then reinstall? Or just install over.

just reinstall. It's basically impossible to uninstall DirectX.

This will be my 4th reinstall with my new system, due to the fact I was having some issues with the chipset drivers for my mobo. It takes a good 3 installs when you get new hardware to break it in, see what it takes =)

I mean just reinstall DirectX over itself. No need to reinstall Windows... Yet

this is my first evga card and am very satisfied!

@crainger, i just fixed that CSS stuttering issue, i had june06 dx9 so i dled august06 and it fixed it right up. 150-200fps 1280x1024 4xAA 8xAF in an empty server lol.

If your gonna get one I agree, the EVGA. It also shouldn't carry the price premium that the XFX will for it's passive cooling.
