I start a new X server for my tvout needs (startx -- :1 -depth 24 -screen tvout) and every time I switch back to my TFT (ctrl+alt FX) and then back again, the screen has rezised itself with shiny new black borders as a result.
My Overscan-setting in xorg.conf is ignored the next time I start the tvout-server. Only a reboot, or a change in xorg.conf makes the Overscan option working again. Non-X virtual consoles also get corrupted, resulting in coloured blocks against a black background all over the screen. These consoles display properly until I activate the tvout-X server. Is this a known issue wich one can expect fixes for in the upcoming version? ---- I forgot to include my system specs: Intel Core 2 Duo Asus P5B motherboard Gainward 7300GT PCI-X 2.6.18-rc5-mm1 kernel 1.0-8774 ---- /Fredrik |

This is not a known bug.
Does this reproduce if you are not using two X servers (TwinView, Xinerama, or just separate X screens on the same X server)? Also, please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log while this problem is present. Thanks, Lonni |

Here's the nvidia-bug-report.log
This problem appeared when i got my new hardware. Previously I've been using a nforce2 board along with a gf4200 card, same config and no issues. |

I've been playing around a bit with only my TV as my screen, and it's all the same. as soon as tvout is activated, all virtual consoles get screwy, and when switching back to tv-output, the borders are back.

I need to use the nvidia-settings tool to change the overscan back anytime I switch terminals or change resolution. |
