Default GeForce FX 5200 on RH ES4

I'm TRYING to get dual heads to work. After the initial install of RH the Geforce FX generic drivers work to drive my primary monitor, but If I switch to dual head, XServe won't start. So, I downloaded the lates linux drivers and installed them, this time when I select dual head it flashes the nVidia logo 3 times and fails. If I use my backup xconfig, set to single head, It starts but I only get one monitor. I notice that in the driver selection I don't see a specific driver for the 5200 but must still select the generic FX driver? What am I doing wrong?

Redhat's tools are unaware of the NVIDIA X driver, and therefore cannot be used to configure X. Your choices are to manually edit xorg.conf or run nvidia-xconfig (which has a man page).

Thanks,

Thanks for the info, I ran nvidia-xconfig -twinview, and now I have a desktop spanning 2 monitors. Sweet. I've read the man page and don't see it, but is there a way to have distinct desktops for each monitor (ala WinXP) or is this as good as it gets? Thanks for the nvidia-xconfig tip, I was banging my head on the table until I got that.

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by 'distinct desktops'. You could setup separate X screens:
nvidia-xconfig -a --separate-x-screens
