Default SBA won't disable

I have an AGP BFG Geforce 6200 256MB
openSUSE 10.2

I turned off fast writes and SBA in the BIOS

cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/card
Fast Writes: Supported
SBA: Supported
AGP Rates: 8x 4x
Registers: 0xff000e1b:0x1f004302

cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/host-bridge
Host Bridge: PCI device 10de:00d1
Fast Writes: Not Supported
SBA: Not Supported
AGP Rates: 8x 4x
Registers: 0x1f00400b:0x00000302

cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status
Status: Enabled
Driver: AGPGART
AGP Rate: 8x
Fast Writes: Disabled
SBA: Enabled

Why the heck does it still enable the SBA

ahhhhh!

Are there options i can drop into my xorg.conf to enable and disable those?

TIA
-Cameron

Check your module config (/etc/modules.d/nvidia on my machine, path may vary for you). Look for a line with "NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1" and change the 1 to a 0.

The SBA bit can't be disabled in AGP 3.x mode.
