I use suse 10.1 and driver 87.74. Everything is ok. I´m just in real trouble with v-refresh rates.
All i get is a max. of 85 Hz - if i try to force it by setting the monitor refresh rate to 90-150 (or any other value > 85), resolution went back to 1024 and nice 60 Hz... Till now, i´ve tried Monitor (Vesa and non-Vesa-Modes), refresh-rate per monitor (min/max v-frequ.) and refresh-rate per v-refresh of gfx-card-options Tried it with and without ddc/edid... many resolutions... It´s just locked to a max. of 85 Hz, which is not usable with a crt.... my crt can handle horizontal 110 kHz and vertical 160... |

According to the bug report, the EDID for your CRT isn't being detected, which means that the driver is falling back to safe defaults for everything:
(--) NVIDIA(0): --- EDID for CRT-1 --- (--) NVIDIA(0): (--) NVIDIA(0): No EDID Available. (--) NVIDIA(0): (--) NVIDIA(0): --- End of EDID for CRT-1 --- Is your CRT connected directly to the videocard with no intermediary devices or adapters? If so, then your only solution is to generate a modeline for the mode you wish to use. Thanks, Lonni |

It´s connected via dvi-adapter and y-cable for shutter-glasses (revelator).
It wasn´t a problem with m$-systems, but you gave me the right tip. I got it now with modeline thx for fast & good support! |
