Default Vista Transformation Pack 5.5 is out

There was a thread a few months ago about VT4 and folks had mixed opinions about it. 5 is out and looks promising for those who want the look of vista using XP.

This is mostly a visual thing like windowblinds and object Desktop but is their any harm to using these shell enhancers?

I don't see real or any harm in it being it doesn't suck up memory like some others do. I still get top gaming performance and the apps i use seem to hold up well.

What do folks think of this version or piece of software and does it harm their systems.

I'd rather just use Vista...

I tried it once, it screwed with my icons and I had a hell of a time uninstalling it. I haven't tried it since. I personally wouldn't bother with it. I just use the Object Desktop package.

Not really carring for it myself. I do like the new subtler sounds, but the "see through" windows are getting on my nerves.

Turn off your x-ray vision power

Does it actually make the entire windows see through? or just the outline like Aero?

The whole window (at least the top one). Like right now, I've got the boards on a maximized window and I can see the desktop (and all my icons) underneath. Rather distracting. I think I'm gonna play with the settings some and see if I can get rid of this.
