There is no need to remove nvidia module while suspending. Suspend (hibernate) works flawlessly for me, from XOrg screen to XOrg screen without any problems or locks.

Since first 8xxx driver nvidia has supported suspend feature.

Hi,
The problem seems to be related to your hibernate scripts.
Did you removed nvidia in the file /etc/hibernate/blacklisted-modules ?
Damien.

If I "#" comment out the nvidia line in the blacklisted modules, then suspend (SUSPEND-TO-RAM) doesn't work, neither does HIBERNATE.
