Halo3 will be 1080p

A new Halo 3 trailer is shown. Some multiplayer info revealed. Aiming for 50-64 player online. Announce that Halo 3 will be the first game to run natively on 1080p. They will make full use of this update. Available in 2007. Playable behind closed doors.

im just saying, it seemed like MS was talking alot of stuff like their 1080p games would arrive this fall, not 12 months from now. obviously they are trying to downplay sony on the 1080p bulletpoint but its kinda pointless if theres no 1080p games. maybe some arcade games will get patched for 1080p?

Well the dashboard update that is allowing 1080p is comming real soon. Maybe there will be arcadegames in 1080p soon.

Well, as I understand it, upscaling to 1080p will be available immediately? And I'm pretty sure a lot of the PS3's launch titles are actually upscaled to 1080p from 720p as well.

Although I'm sure now that I've made that claim, the resident PS3 fanboy will appear correcting me, and then the resident anti-PS3 fanboys will show, and the flaming will start :P

I would hope so, those arcade games that run at 200fps should definately be patched up to 1080p.

yeah but im talking about natively. all ps3 games can be upscaled to 1080p but you dont see sony saying all games will be 1080p. theres a few coming out at launch that will be 1080p native (resistance, rr7, nba07, gundamn, etc.) and some more early 2007 (lair, vt3, etc.), and probably more down the road (possibly mgs4).

not that it matters much, not many people have 1080p sets anyway. only reason im supporting it cause the sammy 56" 1080p set should be in my house in a couple weeks.
