Default my Conroe Experience

I just wanted to share with fellow forum members my experience with Conroe.

I couldn’t get past 3.0 GHz Northbridge gets awfully hot, and motherboard temps were reading around 47c so I picked up a Thermal Take Thermaltake CL-C0034 which helped me reach 3.2. plus I also added AS5 to south and the Zalman 9500.

I ultimately wanted to reach 3.2 stable, and I reached it. Lots of tweaking and patience but I think I’m there.

I also ran memtest for roughly 12 hours before I ran the Orthos stress test.

I ran 3dmarks and busted the 10,000 mark too.
I will start to run a few games F.E.A.R, BF2 to see how she feels.

I am Happy btw bios version for Asus P5W DH is 1401.

Nice. I like the way you zip-tied the case wires out of the way.

Want to build a system for me?

I was told that cable-ties cause power throttling, as if the cable was being choked (for example if you had a network cable it the signal would deteriorate whenever it hit the cable tie)... I recommend using the velcro ones, you will get more stable power.
