Default geforce 6100go

Ok, is there a trick to making a 6100go work? I can only get the vesafb drivers to work correctly... I have a Gateway mx3414 laptop with a turion X2, 1gb ram (128 shared out - although windows reports 512MB... me and the techs went through a lot over that one) and will run any distro that works with it... (so far I have tried Xandros OC ed., SuSE 10.1, Ubuntu 6, and am about to try gentoo) is there a problem with the current driver builds or are we 6100go users just not going to be supported? or is it something I may be doing wrong building the driver?

If 1.0-9625 fails to work, please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.
