Actually there are not any real DX10 games out there yet

Only some DX9\DX10 hydride (DX9.0 games that support some DX10 features...example Bioshock)

But that's what DX10 is at the mo. It's DX10.1 that's looking like it's gonna have the major changes, but it's probably gonna be a while before 10.1 optimised games are appearing, unless they can patch DX10 games.

Interesting read... http://www.elitebastards.com/cms/ind...1&limitstart=2

This is probably posted within the 20 pages but I believe brothers in arms: Hells Highway and assassins creed are going to support dx10. I could be wrong tho.

Gears of war just uses DX10 for AA which can be forced in xP anyway

and COD 4 is DX9 but it looks damn great infact looks like what DX10 would be

Don't forget Starcraft II

"StarCraft II will support the DirectX 9 (Pixel Shader 2.0) software and will be fully compatible with DirectX 10 as well, although the development team has not yet decided whether to add exclusive DirectX 10 graphic effects."

Starcraft 2 will be 100% a directX 9.0 title...

But they may add some Dx10 effects and especially after some patches according to what i hear in forums

To tell the truth Starcraft 2 graphics are nothing amazing

Most animations look like Cartoons (with DX10 or without it this is not going to change)

Blizzard uses similar technology with the World of Warcraft engine
So do not expect any amazing graphics...

Do you know where to find directX10?

Counter Strike Source is DX 9. I've heard it CAN be DX 10. Dunno how you would do that tho...

If you look at performance of Geforce 9600GT vs 8800GT you will notice two things...either games are not optimised at all or simply drivers don't take advantage of shaders.

According to futuremark, a game engine needs to be built from the ground up under dx10. read.. NOT what crysis was which was dx9 with new shaders for dx10. The new 3dmark will be full dx10 so it should be interesting what they have to show for it.

CS:source has no dx10 in it, as the source engine has no dx10 features yet.

Is Bioshock still currently the best looking game with very efficient performance on a quad core PC? I really like this game, and looking to buy another game with comparable directx 10 graphics and finely tuned performance.
