Check out the new scenery from Bill Womack! He did DillinghamX right?
Get it at fsaddon.eu or simmarket. Looks to be cheaper at Fsaddon for US, as it's only $15, otherwise 12.50 Euros at Simmarket. Includes airport and a sizeable section of photo scenery with full autogen. I'll probably grab this tonight when I get home. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Which one of you uses a 280GTX? Have you tried 16xS supersampling with it? I can run 16xS in most cases with my 8800, though I do take a small hit in non-CPU bound scenes and with some of the texture loads we see these days I get stutters with some addos combo's if I'm not careful about memory useage.
If the 280 allows me to run 16xS @ 1600x1200 I might consider one for my Nehalem build, otherwise I will stick with the 8800 and 8xS. I just think the 2x2 supersampling you get with 16xS is so much nicer than the 1x2 you get with 8xS.

Oh man! That Jenny will have me reliving my childhood Waldo Pepper phase.
Been doing good, thanks for asking! I'm loving the hannsg 28 for many reasons, especialy the size and price. I can't justify spending more money than that on a monitor. The text is very clear and crisp. The colors are great imo. It's bright. The only criticism would be contrast in very dark scenes since it's a TN panel. At first I nagged on every little criticism I could think of, so I actually went back and tried my 22 nec crt again. I couldn't switch back to the hannsg fast enough. It spoils you. It's not the perfect monitor, but it's pretty damn good imo. I love gaming with it, and it's great for just surfing the web. It's great for FSX, and especially with TrackIR. One of my 150gb raptors died yesterday, taking my raid 0 array with it. Reformat time for me today. I totaly dread a new FSX install with all the freeware and payware I have. I think I'll put it off though, I'm heading over to Iracing for at least a month. |

Wow,those pics of that Jenny are too good. Nothing like going back to basics right? First up for me would have to be the Goshawk. Thanks for the info everyone,I'll have a go at that shadow tweak. A 28' with FSX must be Sweeet! Shame about your'e Raptor packing it in Lit1um,those things are expensive.

I grabbed Plum Island, haven't tried it yet, but found a couple really sweet shots from Nick. By the way I didn't have to pay VAT, so it was 10.50Euro, or $15. The coverage area is about 10x2 miles. DillinghamX is still one of the best little add ons out there, so this one should be sweet.

These shots are zoomed out a lot, so its not as high res as it may appear. It's not megascenery quality, but not bad either. 60cm around the airport. It really blends into the default textures well.
And this is my "sillyeagle edition" A2A P-40. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks great - your bird looks a bit mad though, like it's had a fright..is that down to your flying?
![]() Picked up the Megascenry Reno area, another small, cheap bit of scenery [just over five GBP] - not bad, though in some areas the colours are a bit weak. ![]() ![]() ![]() Quite a challenge to get it off the ground here, due to the altitude. ![]() ![]() |

I couldn't say anything until the official announcement, but I can now say, what up until now has just been a speculative project, has been confirmed.
Horizon Simulations Scotland. From Chris Ellis. "The spectacular Western Isles will be the first in the series and we expect it to be available within the next 6 weeks (followed swiftly by the Shetlands and the Orkneys and then the rest of the mainland). The series will include high-resolution photographic scenery, terrain, night-lighting (developed using new techniques), intricate water-masking and a few other special features that we'll let you know more about shortly. We think that the Western Isles will, without doubt, be better than anything we've created in the past and are excited about its release. This is just a 'heads up' for now. More detailed information will be posted on our website very shortly." There are a few more details that have not been mentioned yet, but they are going to make this photoscenery quite exceptional, for an area this large, and I for one am very [VERY] excited about it ![]() |

Boy, I sure hope that means it comes with autogen. Been waiting for horizon to do some autogen products. Until then I wait.... lol
