That looks really awesome!
Congrats on solving your problems, S-Eagle!

@Steve
Your and Robert's repaints are looking fantastic, but after reading the statement of the Betatester (@SHO), i'm a little bit.... i doubt that i will buy the BO in the future..

BTW, placing sound effects is very easy (all described in the SDK), but normally the engine sound is louder than the normal noise (street noise etc).

I bought RAZBAM's Prowler and she is really cool:

That B-52 looks impressive. I have thier C-130 and so far have been very pleased with it.CS planes tend to cause a lot of flak but I have yet to come across any issues.Really like how they put a lot of attention to the "look" of thier planes.
Good to see you've solved your FS headache Sillyeagle. When I get the funds I'm planning on splashing out on the 280. That's the plan for now anyway...
Nice looking plane that Prowler, could you show us the VC?

Hey guys

Nice shots Id Second the request for some VC shots on the Prowler,im not a massive jet man myself but i had that as a toy when i was a kid so if the VC is up to it i might just grab it

Glad to hear you fixed the problems you where having Silly and welcome back

So I was going to get the AS Bush Hawk this weekend as it looks like a nice low and slow plane to buzz around in but im reading some very interesting posts about it being a FPS hog over at AS's forum and i dont want to waste 20+(again) on something im not gonna use because all its bells n whistles are bogging it down anyone here tryed it yet or thinking of trying it ?

Had a bit of a play with the BO-105 this afternoon and id say for anyone thinking of getting it to wait till its patched for a second or 3rd time before you do unless you like clipping engine/rotor loop sounds and oddly placed beacon lights that you cant turn off!

Ok oct 08 DX10 water normals are up sorry about the delay but i couldnt log in to my RS account till this afternoon...

Not that much of a massive diffrent in this set but i removed some of the surface pattening and put back layer4 and altered the swell layer a bit

Tweak set now uploaded see

http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...postcount=2170 for new link

ive done with repainting for a bit so i'll have a look at making some DX9 4096x4096 sets to see if i can get something better than the 1024 default or FEX sets as i cant see there promised SHD sets appearing anytime soon....

laters
steve

The new normals look great in DX9 Steve, but I look forward to a dedicated 9 set - these will do in the mean time.

I have seen some of the shots posted of the AS Bush Hawk and to be honest, it's just too ugly for me - though I do appreciate the quality of the VC and modelling. I'm more than happy with the Beaver and Scout for bush flying.

Steve's normals looking mighty fine with this extreme FSWC preset.

Anyone here using Xgraphics. I already have ASX and thinking about getting this. What's your opinion on this product?

I've got it and it is very good for replacing the default texture sets with an, almost overwhelming choice, of far higher quality ones - but it has to be said that REX will likely do the same job with even better, or at least higher resolution, texture sets, so it would be worth waiting for that now.

I currently use XG to replace everything apart from clouds, sky and water.

Steve, I was assuming the very bright sun specular was down to the FSWC preset, but I could be wrong - I will try reducing this in fswc and see how it is.

EDIT: Yeah, it seems the sun specular is more burned-ot with these in DX9, and lowering it in FSWC does not really do the job, so I've have gone back to your first set. Just hurry up with the DX9 set

Thanks S-Eagle!

And thanks Steve for your new water normals! Very cool water! For me it looks from higher altitude in DX9 mode very cool.

@Llamalama
If you plan to buy FEX or REX, i think XG is needless. I use it with FEX, but the airport textures are not really stunning.. the moon textures are cool and the rain and thunder sounds lol but i wouldn't buy it again. Maybe you will find somewhere replacement textures/sounds for free. Water and clouds are looking much better with FEX and FEX gives you the full control about the texture resolutions. XG has a lot of stuff, but nothing has convinced me.

EDIT: A few more shots of the Prowler and Steve's water (i'm a Prowler and Intruder fan; shots are in DX10, but my max texture resolution is 1024):

Whoo very nice JT8D-9A where did you pick up that sailing ship? she looks very nice
thx for the VC shots undecide between this and the bush hawk...gharr to many addons to choose from!

btw As you have FEX id also recommend making up a NoBurnIn waves pack from the FEX water GUI for DX10 flying with my normals(id share my set but its 120mb!)as that will remove the wave noise that sits on the water tones & doesnt move,it doesnt look to bad at high speeds but low and slow it looks a bit strange

OK for my good man Mark and the rest of the DX9 flyers heres asome SHD water normals dev'ed just for DX9

Some compare shots while im uploading the file

FSX Default

My SHD normals

My SHD Normals plus FSWC tweaks

FSWC Tweaks

See the readme for full details (man how i hate typing up those readmes )

DOWNLOAD

Not quite as nice as DX10 but way better than default FSX IMO,feedback is welcome

Enjoy
Steve

Lol i just made a flight around Vancouver (Vancouver Plus X by FSAddon) in DX9 mode (with your DX10 normals) and was really amazed. My images are crap compared to flying over it in real time.

But i will try your DX9 normals! Many thanks for your work!

The ship is the Bermuda Tallship (avsim). It has a FS9 model, but seems to work in DX10 mode. A while ago i bought a scenery for the Bermudas and placed it there.

Good luck if you buy the BH!
