I did wonder about the reg, as I seemed to remember you saying something about this before, just do the best you can - I can't wait to try it ![]() I installed ASX again today after a last attemp with the REX engine and what a difference - a pretty acurate match for my local conditions, no horrid low level haze layer and far nicer looking arrangments of clouds. I think I read that the REX engine is going to have a rewrite, so there is hope that a single package will be able to do it all. We had thundery showers with periods of clear sky this afternoon and this is what ASX gave me - not bad, even the odd flash of lightning. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice shots SJ. How did you avoid that hard haze layer. I always seems to get that with ASX. That water looks amazing. Looks like a great combination.

Bearclaw - that looks very complex for a simple, rule breaking, VFR flyer I don't think I would be tolerated for long, as though I try not to be reckless I am not one for procedure. The idea a flying with other real flyers in the sky does appeal though. |

That scenery looks quite nice, though they seem to have let a five year old with plastic scissors do the coast line

Yeah I do quite like this scenery. I've been using this instead of FTX lately. It's 50cm/pixel with 10m mesh and full hand placed autogen. The performance is superb, as I run it at extremely dense autogen with my framerate locked at 24fps, and even with the frame killer Aerosoft F-16 it stays pegged at 24fps with sharp terrain textures at all times, no blurries.
I did sharpen these images so it might not be quite as detailed at it appears here. ![]() ![]()
